Southern Vermont College 2002 Honors Convocation: Awards & Scholarships Program

The 2002 SVC Honors Convocation recognized student achievement and advancement.

I can't remember whether Friday, May 3, 2002, was a beautiful spring day, but I'm sure there was a sense of excitement in the air as President Barbara Sirvis welcomed students, faculty, and staff to the 2002 Southern Vermont College Honors Convocation at 1:30 p.m.

President Barbara Sirvis delivered welcoming remarks while Tom Redden was Master of Ceremonies.

The 2002 Honors Convocation processional was led by President Barbara Sirvis, accompanied by faculty members Robert Consalvo, Bobbi Gabrenya, Holly Evans Madison, and John B. Davis. 

President Sirvis welcomed attendees to the ceremony, while Faculty Association Chair Thomas Redden served as master of ceremonies.

Faculty members then presented academic awards to outstanding students who had achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.0 or higher, recognizing excellence across a variety of academic disciplines.

President Barbara Sirvis concluded the ceremony with closing remarks, bringing the 2002 Honors Convocation to a close and celebrating another year of academic achievement at Southern Vermont College.
