SVC Logo Lanyard Convenient for Student ID, Dorm Keys, Beer Bottle Opener?

Southern Vermont College lanyard
SVC logo lanyards were a must on campus.
Hopefully Edward Everett would have been proud to see Southern Vermont College students wearing SVC logo lanyards with beer bottle openers attached - he was in the bottle manufacturing business, after all.

SVC logo lanyards were common on the Bennington mountainside campus, helping students keep track of their student ID, dorm keys, car keys, and other ancillary items such as a pen, hand sanitizer, glasses, or even a whistle.

Interestingly, SVC lanyards were often worn in the 'hanging out of the pocket' style, instead of around the neck as intended. SVC dorm keys were notoriously bulky, consisting of one key for shared spaces and another for lounge and room access.

The Southern Vermont College (Bennington) bookstore was constantly stocking new lanyard styles with different design schemes. The lanyard featured in this photo dates from SVC's twilight years; maybe around 2018.
